MC21 wire splice info

Mon Jun 06, 2005 12:36 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Has anyone done the splice on an MC21 like it says on this site and had any problems, EG neutral light not working or bike wore out faster than it should have because of advanced timing? :idea:Please enlighten me NSR masters.

Never heard of it.

I run the HRC CDI which advances the ignition and have never had trouble, even using as intended (on a racetrack!)

MC21 wire splice doesn't affect the neutral light.

It will wear out faster though because you'll ride it more often becuase it'll be a much nicer bike. Then of course you'll ride it faster because it'll go faster. Then you'll get nicked by the old bill because you'll be riding it like a hooligan all the time, upsetting old ladies and the like. Every traffic light will be the start of the high street GP. etc etc.

So actually no, it won't wear out faster because you'll lose your license and you'll be sitting in the garage polishing it because you ain't allowed to ride it. Ho ho ho.
