MC16 Exhaust Issue

Mon Jul 03, 2017 11:22 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi, I'm new on here so appologise if this has been asked before. I'm restoring an MC16 and after trial fitting the exhausts, i have noticed the left hand silencer is parallel to the bike but the right hand side tapers away from the bike (a fair bit) iv tried 3 spares and it's the same. I guess this is wrong and they should both be straight to the bike?? Every picture I can find shows the right hand side sticking out but surely this is incorrect. Any help would be hugely appreciated. Cheers

Both silencers should be pretty much parallel. Sounds like the expansion chamber is bent.

You should be able to pick one of those up pretty cheap.
