Strip MC18 Instrument cluster/Speedo???

Sun Dec 18, 2016 9:54 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I need to strip the instrument cluster to remove something loose inside. How do you remove the speedo trip reset knob? I have tried to pull it off, but feel it's going to break. Can anybody help?

Done. My friend google said Honda's have a tiny machine screw that seizes inside the knob. I drilled off the head with a 3.5 mm drill, and then removed the screw left in the brass fitting. Both arrowed in the picture. Now to get another machine screw.
