How to tell the difference between an MC16 and MC18 engine

What are the main differences? I can't be sure that my engine originated in the frame - the bike (which is an MC16) has an MC18 swingarm/wheel. I think I read somewhere that the MC16 didn't have a TPS, but mine does. I'm looking to get the cylinders re-plated and buy new pistons - are the pistons specific to the MC16/18 respectively, or did they use the same part nos?

It's probably worth searching through the forum on this. The engine numbers used to be listed on the parts list. Hopefully it will be put back up soon
MC18 barrels fit MC16 engines. When you get your barrels replated, send in the pistons and they will plate to the correct tolerance. I believe there's only no mark Honda pistons available now

MC16 engine has a different rear mount, the cases on the left in this picture are mc16.
