(belated) Hello

Thu Dec 24, 2015 9:06 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi All,
Ive already made a few posts but finally got the phone out and took a snap.

http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r49/marcbrewster/RedDevil1.jpg

Its a 1992 SE, Ramair pods, HRC jet kit, JHA pipes and a lightened flywheel.
Its seen PE's dyno and makes/made 61BHP.

Using it as my daily driver and have been commuting to and from central London.
Stopped at the moment though as the LH pod fell off. Have used Araldite to repair the rubber and will see what happens else I'll have to source a replacement.

Plans are to fit:
Aluminium axles - received and ready to fit
Flip up clutch lever - as above
Horn - as above (and SO needed in London)

Future:
Magteks?
Rebuild and revalve front forks - http://racetech.com/html_files/GVWHYGV.html. Did this before on my old HawkGT 650 (aka Bros 650) and it transformed the front end.
(get) Rebuild rear shock
Fix up all the bodywork and misc bolts nuts and (as it seems usual) Vee piece
Radial master cylinder - undecided as brakes now are awesome even with stock rubber lines

Cheers,
Marc

They are foam air filters that attatch to the carbs, usually with a jubilee clip, once the airbox has been discarded for whatever reason, the term ram air usually refers to the make of filter, this foam type is also more efficient than the cone type with the chrome endcap. Also available through NSR world i believe.

Ramair is a brand - http://ramair-filters.co.uk/

Heres how they fit.

Cheers. I thought they might be something like that. My understanding is that you would actually loose performance running pod style filters on a NSR but I'm happy to be corrected.
