I sold my RC45 a little while ago and I've been lucky enough to get hold of something I've always wanted.

It's been sat since then pretty much unused. It comes with a few extras so I hope it should be a relativity straight forward rebuilt if maybe a little time consuming.

So a dream come true? We'll see won't we!

Sweeeeet!!! Not jealous at all!

When I heard you were selling the RC45 to buy something else I guessed you must have been getting something a bit special. What is the history behind the bike Steve? And give us some more pics mate!

Built for the 2001 500GP season it was ridden by Barry Veneman. A guy in the states purchased them after the season finished and they had been sat in his garage for the last 8 years.

I've managed to get hold of the builder and the team owner and they have both been kind enough to send me information.

What makes me laugh is the fact you sold the RC45 because it was too fast!

'Outta the frying pan into the fire'

LOL

LOL its true. This is just a diddy 500 though and weighs almost 60kg less than the '45 did.

Stunning bike, Graham File who did my crankcases for me used to maintain one for a guy doing track days in France and said they are true race bike. Even the magnesium water pump cover would rot if you left water in it for more than a month!!!!

So do you have the bike in your hands or is it still in the states?

Keep the pictures coming. Very Happy

They are leaving the States on Friday. Should be with me sometime January.

Yeah I know of the water pumps. These have rotted a bit but I've managed to source some from HRC anyway as I'm sure they will be needed.
