Good question.
I was asking the same question a while ago.
I'm looking at the same idea for my MC28.

I emailed Lun in Hong Kong about this a while back. He advised that the tank
cover simply wraps over the original and comes painted etc.
I was looking at the Rothmans scheme myself.
Keep me posted

From all reports they're rubbish.

For skanky, dime a dozen bikes maybe, but not a classic like the NSR!

My opinion is stay away!! I ordered one, but the issue is that the gas cap does not fit properly. It's simply a cutout that fits over where the gas cap is placed. It just looks cheezy and in my opinion should never be used. I ended up just painting the tank the right way which is what I should have done in the first place and saved my wasted money as the tank cover simply belongs in the trash can. I just finished my bike, had a wonderful day at the track on Saturday, I'll have a write up soon!
