Have a look at http://www.pro-bolt.com/

They are not cheap but the quality is great.

I used Pro-bolt and the kit for the screen and fairing was spot on. You could go to a nut bolt and fastener shop but for a small quantity with all the plastic bushes and washers I don't think you can go wrong

fairing bolts

Sat Feb 23, 2013 10:32 pm » Post: #4 » Download Post

Hi Mellorp
Had a quick look at the pro bolt site but they only list the MC16 model.
I have an MC28 with a miss match of fairing and fixing bolts.
What model do you have and can you remember which set you ordered?

Without another NSR local to compare too, it's hard to tell what I'm missing. From memory when I had an MC21 Years ago I'm sure I should have more D-Zsus fasteners on the right than I currently do.

Thanks
Graham

Hi Graham

I bought from probolt for a non NSR (daren't say what bike as Andy will ban me from the site for owning it)
You would need a MC28 owner to respond as I have a MC21. The left side of the fairing all fixed with M6 bolts, (you can use plastic number plate bolts). The screen use any probolt screen kit. They have a spongy surround to the backing nut so when you tighten up it protects the screen. The right side inspection panel ha Dzuz fasteners of varying sizes (well mine are). As a fix I bought some very fine nuts & bolts that went all the way thru the Dzuz with a couple of washers in increasing diameter to secure the fairing. Really difficult and time consuming, but a damn sight cheaper than gen fasteners. Trouble is it then defeats the object of the quick release fasteners on the fairing inspection panel

Sorry but HTH

Personally I would have a look at the online parts manual and price up a set of oem bolts and fixings first, they might not work out much more expensive than pattern and will fit a lot better.

Bear in mind that the oem bolts are shouldered so they bottom out on the mounting bracket to avoid cracking the fairing panels, what you save buying cheap bolts you could soon spend many times over replacing cracked panels.
