NSR500V Parts

Wed Oct 17, 2012 7:21 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I don't know if anyone even is looking for parts, but Leonard at Redline has them. He has the largest inventory of 500V parts in the world and here's a link to his fiche:

http://redline-ci.com/part_books/Honda/0500nsr500v/0500_main/2_part_index/0500_nsr500v_main.asp

Also, I am in no way affiliated with the shop. If you thought your 125 and 250 parts were pricey, wait till you see these. These are Honda prices as he does not add any rarity value. Very fair pricing.

Enjoy,

Joel

ROTFLMAO

You've probably got more spares than Redline anyway, Steve! Very Happy

I don't know what an RRP piston is, but it isn't an HRC piston. That's what Redline sells, all HRC parts. You can't even buy a 125 or 250 piston for anywhere near $120 so let's make fair comparisons.

As to who has the most spares, well, who cares, but Redline has enough to put together 2 to 3 complete bikes. He also has NSR500V bike number 1 new and in the crate. It is the brochure bike. Also, he has a Shell Advance bike and Katja's TSR250 Shell bikes as well, excuse my spelling. He bought all of HRCs parts.

Not trying to start a war, just trying to help those that might need parts. Obviously, you don't, but felt the need to ridicule a source.

Whatever!

RRP isn't a piston Joel, its the reccomended retail price of an HRC piston.

As Les says, RRP is recommended retail price.

The piston price from HRC was infact only $112.10, not the $120.00 I quoted.

Want another example, crank case set,Honda RRP $8272.20, Red line price $10732.20.

Honda have these in stock!

http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda_part_number_search_A10.php?partdes=11000-NX6-307

$2000+ mark up on Honda RRP.

I'm not saying it isn't great you can get part from him but he has increased the prices (by a huge margin) in most cases over what Honda will sell them direct for.

In the US, Honda's recommended price wasn't $112 or $120. There's no way you can buy a piston for that amount. As for the crank, does Honda really have them in stock. I was told that Honda sold them all or at least HRC Japan did. If there are a few remnants of parts around in the UK, then that's fine.

As for Andy, you're an ass. I told you that I have no affiliation with Redline. There is no commission.

Don't buy from Redline for all I care. Sorry I brought it up.

Stephen, I'll see you on the RC30 bbs.

Cheers,

Joel

HRC europe have almost everything in stock for the 500V, even frames!

Working for a Honda dealership allows me (thank god) to check all prices and avaliblity of all HRC prices. Pistons etc are what I quoted including all taxes.

Like I said, I'm happy redline has parts. but they aren't Honda's prices.

I need to change my vendor then. Is there a fiche website with prices to HRC Europe? How much are these parts (RRP)?

13100-000-F06 - Piston
13121-000-F06 - Ring

These cost me $400+

Thanks,

Joel

13100 is a piston number but your middle prefix of 000 doesn't work. This should be something like NX5, NX6, NL5 etc.

Hi,

It is the HRC A-Kit version of their standard piston: 13100-NX4-781 but it has a flat top and relocated pin for the ring so that it doesn't snag when running the A-Kit 6 stud cylinders.

The part number is correct with 000 and you can find mention of 13100-000-F06 when searching the internet.

BTW, the NX4 piston I listed above is about $250. How much is it at HRC Europe?

TIA,

Joel

HRC Europe quote at $224.37. inc tax

Can't get your A kit part number to work in Honda though.

Well, that's not too far off. Thanks for checking. Strange, though, that it costs twice as much as the NSR500 piston.

Thanks Again,

Joel
