indicator switch playing up mc21

Tue Jun 08, 2010 8:26 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

my indicator switch has a mind of its own at the moment it works fine left but sometimes takes a few hard shoves to make the right work.
is this a common problem?
is it fixable or would a new one be required?

Not heard of it being a problem before, but it will undoubtedly be fixable - the internals of the switch really aren't complicated.

Try giving it a good squirt of contact cleaner and exercising it first. If that fails, have it apart and see if it's just crud / corrosion.

Stripped the switch down. It was filthy so cleaned it all up using switch cleaner. Works perfectly now. Nice easy fix. Smile

Mine was filthy inside. Strip it apart and spray it well with some switch cleaner. The switch used to feel like it was'nt working properly but now it feels brand new. Very Happy
