My friend tells me that they are worth 1.5 hp on a gp125 . The other info shows 1.4 hp on a stock 250 . If I get 2 hp from them then I will be happy . The Tyga ones are nsr250 specific , these ones are the first to be made for a 300 . Necessity breeds invention ! I will dyno the bike when I get my rev counter sorted .
Hi , I had these made . There are only 2 sets , one on my bike and another sent for testing . I can have more made but the price is very high ! You have to modify your exhausts as these are straight outlets . You need to change the angle on your pipes slightly .
I spoken with Neal about these, and the subject of matched exhaust port has been covered in another (250) thread.
As Neal says you need to modify the header of the pipe as the NSR150 cylinders have a different angle port mounting face than the 250, which is why our manifolds for the 300 kit are angled.
I admit that our manifolds are certainly not ideal, but in the interests of using the same pipes we will continue to supply as is.
The straight manifold alone with gain power as experimentation has shown that angle changes can disrupt exhaust flow, especially close to the port where the gas is still expanding somewhat.
I have had nothing but good results with matched manifolds (like Neal's and ours for the 250), just so long as the actual port exit isn't overly enlarged.
Would making a shaped insert that slides inside the current 300 flanges and can be rotated for adjustment be feasible? Drilling a small hole and a tapping in a grub screw to stop it rotating around once it has been aligned with the ports would be easy enough. Only problem I can see is I recall there being a weld inside the 300 flanges, though this could also be worked around.

How much difference is there between the 250 and 150 barrels as I fancy trying a different set of pipes from my current Tyga but if its a case of getting exhaust flanges made it may not be worth the hassle just to have something different. I do not have a large garage or machine shop at hand to manufacture items!
Also do the flanges supplied for the 300 kit fit if I were to install the Tyga pipes on a 250? _________________ MC21 300

On the 300 kit from tyga , you will see that the flanges come out at an angle . Any 250 pipe that has the same diameter connection as the tyga should fit .
These flanges are custom made for the 300 . The outlet of the 150 cylinder is not in the centre of the exhaust studs . You can see that the out let has been offset on these flanges .
They have been made with straight outlets to maximise performance gains , should be roughly 2% This is a rough comparison of custom 300 pipes vs 250 pipes , there was a splutter
that ruined the day .

Just an update about these ally flanges , i had one fail . It sheered off clean on where the stub met with the bolt plate . We are having new ones made with an updated design .
I was lucky to have it welded up so that i could carry on riding , the anodising changed colour from the heat
I never got round to testing them back to back vs the stock angle nsr300 adaptors . When I was playing on the dyno I have had other gremlins that I was trying to sort out . I not been fiddling for months now so no new progress .
My next project is to have steel ones made as I had one ally fail .
