Polini cylinders 350cc

Tue Jun 07, 2011 3:52 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I got a set of Polini cylindres with my NSR, anyone knows about the performance and realiability etc. I have no pistons and I think they will need to be re-done with nikasil or whatever its called. I think that you need to open up your cases to fit them. Ayone knows more about them?
I am thinking to sell them probably so if any interest drop me a line.

I have glass-blasted them and painted today, the bore is 60mm, dont know what cc that will make, head and cylinders look ok inside actually, I will post pics tomorrow.
It looks like they should have much higher compression, then the stock.

Pictures of the cylinders, andheads. The heads are in perfect condition. one of the cylinders has minor scratches, will have to be fixed-the other one looks fine.

Dont know...it says Polini on them, and the mufflers that I have on the bike came with this cylinders, (I have asked the previous owner.) All I know Polini make parts and exhausts to tune scooters etc, there is plenty of meal left for re-boring them anyway. I dont know from where you can get the pistons though.

From looking at the water hose position they're big bore NSR125 cylinders, so very similar to the old NSR150RR. They can be fitted with some mods.
