Repsol NXA Project

Fri Dec 28, 2012 8:54 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Just got a speedfibre RSW fairing and an Aoyama seat and thinking of doing a Repsol jobbie on it.

Honda's works team sponsor for years now and still looking good.

So here it starts..

Just a note, whilst i would love a set of stubby slip ons like in the photo, i have been prevented from riding at two track days i have booked this year, once at Donington on a quiet 98Db ride through day ... and yes it's true, unless you trigger the noise meter on the bridge over the start finish straight you are ok but it wasn't any fun coming out of Goddards half throttle.

I didn't even get on track at Oulton Park with their 102DB static noise test.

Running Sambas by the way bit have had some longer slip ons made so i can track day next year without forfeiting the day.

That's why we only really do Donington noise days with the 500's. They won't pass any noise tests.

I thought the point of a "test" was to see how high a score you can get! Confused

You don't want that 'cheap' (Ahem!) Speedfibre fibreglass bodywork on your NXA Simon, what you really, really need is the brand new Speedfibre carbon / kevlar bodywork I have sitting in a box in my garage! Wink
I also have some very nice and brand new Braking and Sunstar RS discs if you need any spares... hint, hint...
On another note, I suppose I will soon be the noise tester's new friend too! Laughing
Nice project by the way. Cool
