Very cool. Do you have any pics from the other side?
I like how the r5k exhaust give you a straight shot at the wheel and a clean look.
Any info on how hard the swap was.

Not yet. i'd litterally just put it all together , wheeled it out with the seat unit plonked on and took the photo. Still gotta make some jack up plates for the rearsets as the gear lever side touches the swing arm without a spacer.other than that it was pretty straight forward.
I'll take some more when the fairing comes back from the sprayers. Cheers.

About to start on some jackup plates.anyone have opinions on what would be a good up and back measurement for rearsets? (Tyga rear sets are up 27mm and back between 12-20mm.)

Make them multi adjustable, ie lots of holes, you then get to experiment and find what feels comfortable, will also look trendy if done nice.

So, the swap itself was fairly straight forward.
To fit the vfr400 nc30 axle in the nc24 swing arm requires the use of nc30 roller bearing .
The sealed bearings in the hub fit the nc30 axle without modding.
You'll beed a 10mm spacer between the spocket carrier and the hub as the nc24 hub is slightly narrower than the nc30 item.
To fit the swing arm in the frame you need to remove 12mm from the spacer on the right hand side inside the frame. You'll also need to use a 25mm bush inside the roller bearings on the left side of the swing arm as the nc24 uses a different pivot to the nsr. And you'll need the bearing spacer from the nsr swingarm between the to sides of the nc24 swingarm on the pivot bolt.
The nc24 uses different shock linkage arrangement but the use of mc28 linkage(from morriwaki man) sorts this. You can use the mc18 dogbone link, but if you can get the mc28 one , it's shorter and gives a nice increase in ride hight.
I had a cbr600 shock on at first but as it's taller it causes the swingarm to foul the left exhaust.
One final thing you need to space the rearsets out about 10mm as the bolt from the footpeg touches the swing arm without them.
Just stick it all in and bobs your uncle.
To get the correct chain line turn the front sprocket over.

I want to slate you for putting one of those bendy 'arms on it, but it's looking really good! I commend you!

Maybe I should send you my two F-III's to build?! Laughing

Seriously though, it looks really good. Get shot of that red front wheel ASAP and you have a really tidy R5K there.

Sending both wheels off to be powder coated next week hopefully. Just need to sort out some green number boards for the tail and headlight an some extra large HRC stickers for the side panels to get the authentic ajinomoto terra look?
Also need to go back to a 15 tooth front sprocket.got a 14 on at the moment and its a bit mad! Cool
