just a question, are the mc21 carb floats same as the mc18?

No idea, have a trawl through the parts catalogue and see if they're the same numbers.

I don't know about '88 MC18 floats but '89 ones do fit the MC21. I would guess that '88's do as well.

I checked the floats and valves are the same code from mc16 to mc21...
So they are the same thanks!
