What you want is an F3 shock (as in HRC Formula 3), isn't it Stephen?! Wink

That's the $1,000,000 question I'm afraid Stuart!

It took some doing! Took some serious research of some Japanese websites, a translator, a buyer, another translator, and a wedge of cash! Even then we weren't entirely convinced it would fit! Shocked

Yeah, and we didnt know what I was getting, it also really needs the HRC linkages and tie rod as you can't use the ride hight adjuster without them.

Well Ktec seem to be turning out some quite nice work right now at a fair price, I just had a HRC shock rebuilt by them for my 45 and monkey has just had a SP shock rebuilt for his 21. Both of them came back better than new.

The "R" shock is actually quite a good shock once it's revalved and serviced. Let's face it, most of us fit a shock, twiddle a bit, then never touch it again anyway! If some professional technician has valved and sprung it to your weight, what more do you need?...

Oh yeah, the Poser Points! Laughing

The MC18SP shocks come up once in a while though. Keep your eyes open on eBay and in our Classifieds.

I put a ohlins shock from a cbr600 f3 on my mc-18 it seams to work really well. It's about 1 inch longer than the stock shock makes up the difference if you switch to a 17 inch rear wheel. It took a while to find on e-bay. You could also look for a Penske, or Fox shock for the CBR F3. You will need to have the bushings machined a little.

F3 shock eh?

Hmmm. Got one on my bike, one on the NuRSe, just sold one and I've got another in bits in the workshop.

Do I win a prize for having the most?

MC18SP shock eh?

Hmmm. Might have one of those little blighters too!

Thanks Matt, but I just sent you 300 quid for a new fairing so you can't have any more for a while!! Laughing
I think I'll go for the revalving option.
