Largest ever gathering of NSRs outside Japan?...

Wed Jun 08, 2005 9:17 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Unfortunately Keith Butcher left just before the end of the day, so isn't included in the group photo, nor is the lovely Pro-Arm RS250 that was blasting around all day, but here are 9 NSR250s all in the same place at the same time - in the UK!! Very Happy

It's only taken me 5 years to arrange mind you! Rolling Eyes

More to follow - when I get my camera back!! Smile

Come on... there were times I had more then that second pic in my garage at one time!

I think the most was four at once Smile Ye, sucker for pain. Now I got two to deal with, plus an RS.

Haha! I thought the piccy of a couple of us at the BK was just a nice picture!

There were 11 NSR250s at Llandow on Friday, but the next event is destined to be bigger still!

I'm hoping for the same participants as the track day, plus NSRMonkey, fontyyy, Maxim, DMB, Clarkie, Jamie Kellard, NSR.Babe!!!, gazandjen(?), Bill Limb, for a start! Let's hope we can get 20 together if we can time the next one right.

We got to keep our gatherings on the hush hush so the local rollers don't come take our rides!

It's all on the sly meets for us. There was this one time we had 100 or so NSR. You should have seen em all Smile Okay, maybe not Sad

Okay, actually we seem to be getting a good number at the races. Does that count? I think my 250SB class has 5 or 6 of em in it Smile

5 or 6, what like half the number we had on Friday? Wink

Best you get some of the guys there watching too, and get some photographic evidence of the race bikes & road bikes! Come on, there's a good number of MC21's in the Bay Area just for starters!!!

I know there's the whole 'outside Japan thing' but I've got 3 in my garage, and there are usually 5-10 at most track days, and if you go to a race with a 250 class then there are 20 or more. You see some sweeet bikes too. There's an MFJ class where you can modify everything except the frame and crankcase, and there are some really scorching bikes there. Good lookers too.

Not 7 NSR250s though?! It all comes down to photgraphic evidence anyway!

The point of Llandow this year was to try and get as many owners/UK NSR Mailing List members/Forum members together for the weekend for a bit of fun, and to generate interest in making subsequent events much more popular.

I think I can safely speak for all those who made the effort, and say that it was a great day/weekend, and the next meeting will undoubtedly be even more successful. I think everyone who made Llandow is keen to make the next meeting, so we have a base next time of maybe 10 NSRs instead of just the normal 2 or 3! I reckon we can make it 20 NSRs for the next event if we can get the timing right!

In the mean time, here's a nice photo Jamie send in a while back.

hard to say as i,ve never ridden the bike without them. the pipes came with the bike, i never knew what i had untill Andy came and had a look at them.
on the dyno stephen said that the carbs were holding it back. i have some 18 carbs to fit but not got round to it yet.
i have thought about going the whole hog and getting it tuned, or trying to find some 18/21 barrels, but then i think why not just sell it and get a 21. but as it is i,ll never get a decent price for it, so who knows.
