MC21 Engine case wanted.

Mon Sep 24, 2012 11:45 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

After an engine case for an MC21/28 engine. Need the left hand side.

Anyone?

Also after an HRC jet kit or similar, HRC style airbox, or other similar performance/lightweight parts.

crank case splits top/bottom, so I guess you mean the cover for the sprocket and flywheel?

Sorry, valid point. I wasn't thinking. The case around the thread for the torque arm has cracked. Not in front of the bike at the moment and can't remember if it was top or bottom.

lower crankcase from the looks of it. I've got one if you want to consider the cost of shipping from the other side of the ditch.

Pretty heavy things aren't they. What would you be wanting for it?

I need to get in the shed to find a few thongs, so I'll take some photos, if you're happy we'll work out an agreement.

Out of interest, what do you need it for?

No probs, let me know. Oh the case is cracked in the area where the torque arm bolts in. It means the bolt has play and the box is super clunky changing down gears. I have another but it's on a complete engine. Seems silly to break it into parts...

Crankcase halves are matched, so should only be used as a pair, unless you have them remachined/line-bored before assembly.

That was the reason why I was going to supply a full set of cases. They are set up for premix, does that matter?

Possibly not as I was going to go that way maybe. What has been tweaked to suit premix?

They have the tugs pump block off piece. Haven't bothered seeing if it will pop out.

Man my phone has done many strange autocorrections in this thread. I've only got the top half floating around. I do have a spare engine but not ready to consider selling that yet.

Sorry I can't help.

That's ok mate, I'll see how I go locally. Another engine would be nice though! Thanks though.
