WTB: mc21 pad springs and front brake res + bracket and hose

Sun Nov 28, 2010 7:36 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I just need a couple of small parts to complete the mc21 front end I bought.

As in title, pad springs, front brake res with hose and bracket (or suitable parts from another bike).

And I'm in wollongong, australia so would prefer parts in aus.

Thanks.

Oh dear, obviously never stripped a caliper, or fitted new pads.

Yep, the little doo flicky that I also have no idea what it does, reduces pad vibrations perhaps? whatever they do I don't really want to be braking without them unless someone knows something I don't.

Never put a name to them, just a metal clip that holds the pads Embarassed

I've got a spare set of calipers, but they are of no use to you. Try the wreckers close to you, it might even be worth seeing if other bikes with the same or similar calipers have been wrecked recently (e.g. CBR600F3, Firestorm, etc)

Closest wreckers are in sydney I'm pretty sure and it's pissing down at the moment so I thought I would try on here first, but that is my next option. Good to know what other models share calipers though, thanks.

Good point, I'll take a caliper with me if I have to go.
