m-max problem

m-max problem

i tried putting my m-max on and i cant find the white plug on my wire harness . i got the grey one plugged in , but i dont see where this thing is supposed to go .

From (a bad) memory ...

there are three things. You split the grey multi-pin plug and put the Mmax in between. Then you splice a wire way up by the PGM, then there might be something you do with the bullet connector which comes out of the loom in the same place as the grey mutli-pin, but I can't remember.

Not much help I know, but could be better than nothing. Can you be more descriptive than 'grey' and 'white' connector?

its on the opposite side of the bike, will try and find the diagram i have at home.

The one I have, has two grey plugs, so the unit sits in line to the loom, then another one which connects to the rear brake light lever wire connector to provide power.

so it hooks up to the brake for power. i wish the instructions said that. it is the only plug it could go in , but i couldnt thinnk of a reason it would have to be hooked up to the brake . i am running rear sets , so my rear brake light sensor is gone . i guess it will just go off the harness, and seal the other end off.
