Just a quick post to say hi, as I am now the proud owner of a tidy little MC16.

Desperate to go for a proper run, but I couldn't bear to see it all covered in salt!

As I've just got the bike, if anyone has any tips off the top of their head (I mean unusual traits, common problems etc.), they would be gratefully received!

Hi Socket, and welcome to the forum.

Only real common problem with the MC16 seems to be CDI faults - understandable given that they are 21~22 years old now! If you see any come up for sale, jump on them!

hey there mate! welcome to the Mc16 club!
Andy helped me a few times in the past and present, and trust me he is the man!
just remember to take good care of it, and give synthetics all the way! clean the carbs and see what the previous owner has done to it. take good care of the body work because its going to be difficult to get them.
