PGMIV/ New to me MC28 1995

Wed Dec 22, 2004 10:29 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Ok, Ok...just got back from Forward Air in Orlando with the NEW(new to me) 1995 nsr250r mc28. Came in from San Francisco. Not in such great shape, but I'm optomistic. It looks like its been a city bike for a while. Not too well cared for, but promising. Ok, I went back to view what you all said about the PGM/card. This one is missing, by the way. So, let me get this straight; the HRC 030 does what for performance?...is it better? And I lose the speedometer? VS. an original card. I need info. from you guys to figure what direction to head, and will probably order pipes in the near future. Also, went to tsrworldwide.com, they have a listing for an HRC 030 card. Any experience with these guys?
Mostly, at the moment, I want to see if the bike will run...so the missing card definately needs replaced, Clean carbs...check cylinders??? I'm open to all suggestions, and many thanks in advance. Cliff in Florida

Also,is the HRC 030 card what "DELIMITS" the bike? Also, I'm looking to see if I can locate the PGM id number. Will advise(who talks like that?) Cliff

Not only will you lose your speedo with the HRC card, you will also lose your road going electrics (headlights, indicators, etc), but with a simple wire splice, you can get them working again, except the speedo - just buy a digital speedo from a bicycle store and use that.

You can also get a HRC card from Apex Leisure in the UK.
