Front end came up!!!!

Sun Mar 12, 2006 9:21 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Did my first test run this weekend after all the mods over winter, After about 5 - 10 mins riding round the block testing brakes etc i took her onto the main road, pulled out and slowly accelerated in first, i got to around 5 K and opened it with a snap, (NOT wide open just a snap) and as the bike pulled away she hit about 6/7K and she went Nannas Shocked Very Happy Very Happy Twisted Evil Holly Fu*k the front started to lift and i felt like i was in the millenium falcon SHHHHHHHHHIIIIIITTT Shocked . It wasnt mamouth wheelie or anything i shut it off before going to high (cause im a Pussy) but i cant believe what a diffrent bike its become, with a esentially a splice, jet kit and pipes..... Very Happy well happy, Very Happy just gotta find a nice day now to have a propper go.... BUT thats the first 4 miles under my belt for this year LOL

Another thing to add, anyone doing a dry clutch mod.....its well worth it, the bike pulls away better and you have far more controll i didnt have to slip the clutch very much at all to pull away!

It's amazing what a set of pipes and a spot of jetting can acheive, jumping between my std MC21 and the kitted MC28 they are like chalk n cheese.

Since riding the wet clutched MC21 around for the last few months I've noticed that it doesn't seem to pull from a stand still as cleanly as my SP's. I just put it down to the bike not being jetted correctly. Strange you noticed it too. Maybe the clutch is the main cause. Rolling Eyes

I just put a new air filter in the Honda Dream 110 and pumped the tyres up.......WOW.

It'll now pull away cleanly in first and by the time you hit top it must be pulling nearly 50mph. OMG Shocked

If only, it is unfortunately true, Matt can get his Dream 110 up on one wheel with or without a drop of the old Sang Som and seemingly with little regard for the possibility he may flip it, when I see the 400greybike boys asking how do you wheelie a 400, or more to the point saying it's difficult to do so I have to restrain myself from ripping them to bits. The NSR comes up anyway and the RVF comes up if you just slip the clutch to keep it on the power.
Steve's RVF comes up about at 90mph or so..........but it does have a few more beans.

I think some of us just dont have any fear LOL I spent a day at wheelie school and although at the end of the day i could get the bandit up and go around 50 - 100 meters, i cant do them on the road. In most case's i KACK myself and shut the throttle off Embarassed Embarassed Very Happy on a plus side i can wheelie my sons 100cc 2 stroke Quad down the road and thats automatic ..... Now that is FUN! Very Happy
