My friend has an RGV, they are pretty cool - very fast. Customer support is also a lot better...So I wouldn't be frightened, more like intrigued. Uh oh the diehards aren't gonna like this one! _________________ '87 MC16
I bought one recently too , couldnt say no though it was only £150 _________________ If you dont like the way that i ride.....Stop trying to keep up!!!!!
I'm loathed to call RGV's, an old mate of Billy and I had a VJ22 and it was an awesome bike.
Not too sure if this will work as it's linked straight from the RGV forum but to say it's on Mark Dent's Dynopro which means it'd read about 5bhp more on a Dynojet that's one hell of a chart for a 250.
I like them anyway _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread

Who cares, its a 2 stroke, i was gona buy one, the only thing that stopped me was that i had never seen a NSR250 on the road. so NSR it had to be. if your effort is anything like your Fortuna NSR the rgv will turn out ace and i cant wait to see it.. WHAT ABOUT A 3XV????? I love em!!!
If I could choose any 2fiddy, it would be the 3XV every time! (NSR aside)
The Yam, especially in SP and the RC SUGO spec they did, was the bomb... The drive on the 3XV is so strong compared even to the NSR's and they're pretty much a TZ250B in drag... _________________ NSR300R - Why did i ever have a 250...
I've not ridden one, the RGV owning friend of mine had one before his VJ22, he said it was great and neither it or his RGV gave a spot of bother in years.
But they are a generation behind, thin (130*18 rear) crossply tyres as standard but there is nothing to them at under 125kg dry weight in full road trim. Minus the road kit and with a fibreglass fairing and race pipes it's going to weigh nothing, and they're dirt cheap.
This;
is a running KR1S wearing an RS250 body and spares inc WOW for £500 on the KR forum! If it'd been there before I bought my RVF...........
The thing on both the KR1 and RGV250 sides is they are full power (i.e. the best part of 60bhp) in standard form so most were left that way, especially when new.
The later KR1S was known for seizing but I'm not too sure how true that really is. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
