Can I use the front tire as the rear tire?

I've been looking for new tire for my bike. But they don't have 120/18 for the rear. However, they have plenty in that size for the front. If I put the front tire on the rear, is there any danger to it? My bike is 150 RR, max speed prob. around 140km/hr.

There's no danger in it per se but it may handle strangely, I would imagine that the profile is different.

ALways wanted to put 4 dirt bike rear tyres on a citroen 2CV ...
