Hello everybody. I am looking to registrate a MC 28 as a historical Vehicle in Spain, but they ask for the manufacture date, and I´m not able to find a way to get it from vin number .
The VIN is MC28-1002442 Looks like a 1993-4 model.
Could anybody help me ?
Thanks in advance.

Many Thanks Andy...
The main problem is that Authorities here in Spain do not accept data from a website source. Only from "official" ones, like Honda itself and vehicle registration offices ....
By searching and searching I found a website from Japan Inspection Authorities, Which are able to issue a year of manufacture certificate IF the bike was already driven and registered (which is my case) in Japan.
I think it could be useful if other subscribers are looking for this. It is a PAID service, but anyway worth it.
This is the website address: https://japaninspection.org/vehicle-manufacturing-year-verification/
Hope will be useful.
Many thanks and have a good day !!!
The VJMC here in the UK will also certify date of manufacture, but not sure if Spanish authorities will accept that? I've never imported/registered a bike from Japan myself, so I don't really know what's involved, but there are a few members here who have done it. There's also been talk in the past of Honda (UK) actually dating a chassis based on VIN number, but I cannot confirm its accuracy.
Thank you for posting your link. Please let us know how you get on. _________________ Andy.

Hi Andy
Thanks for your quick response.
I´m suffering a dicotomy .... Waiting until January 2026 where I definitely know the bike can be registered as historic, or pay around 150 Quid to get the japanese certificate.
I dont know if spanish authorities will accept a UK certificate .... Breixit and so on ......
I think I prefer to invest the money to get the bike right for MOT when new year arrives. Has been static for quite a few years since I bought it.
Anyway If I decide to go with the japanese ... I will tell my experience.
Thanks again, and have a nice day.
I will post other photos of my bike collection. Including RC30, NS 400, NC 35 and so on ....
Cheers.
