Hi, normally when you let off the throttle on a motorcycle, you're braking directly on the engine. But that doesn't happen with my MC28. I feel a clicking sound, and there's some play/space in the drivetrain when I let off the throttle. It's less noticeable when I let off the throttle very gradually. My first thought was the front suspension, which was leaking, but I've already fixed it. Is it some kind of rubber somewhere?
The 88-96 (MC18~MC28) engine mounts are rubber, so check those for wear, but there is a "torque link" between the engine and frame pivot on the MC28 (and MC18-1 & MC21).
