Can anyone advise me what to do with the water cooling hoses on my MC16. I have rebuilt the engine and got everything up together ready to start but I am unsure where a cooling hose/hoses go! Its the rear cylinder head outlet and the thermostat nylon top cover, should there be a hose joining these together? or are they separately going to vent? I cant find any old pics that indicate this. Any help is appreciated.
I have searched the the housing and coolant hoses for the mc16, there is one for sale on eBay which shows the hoses attached to the thermostat.
One of the hoses should go from the rear cylinder head to the thermostat housing. I believe the rear cylinder head hose attaches to the side of the housing and an additional hose attaches from the upper plastic cover to the upper radiator connection. The longest hose from the bottom of the thermostat housing to the front cylinder head.
I’m sure someone else will be more specific shortly.
Thanks for info. I have the main coolant hoses set up its just the small leak off hose from rear cylinder head nipple. So you believe this one is connected to nylon top cover of the thermostat?
Hi Sorry for confusion. I have managed to find some pics going through the manual. Its a short hose so am guessing they join together, must be just releasing excess pressure in the units possibly. Thanks for your help.
