clutch actuator arm

hi how do you remove the little clutch actuator arm bearing from the bottom engine casing as theres not much access to it,thanks

As far as I can remember you only need to remove the bolt (6 on the picture) and make sure the spring is free. then rotate it. I think the clutch push rod needs to be removed first

No, part# 15 is a twat to get out. To be honest, I've never replaced one. When we've had cases vapour blasted, we bung it up, so no media can get in there.

Small bearing puller maybe?
or adapt a pair of cheap circlip pliers to use as a puller
or drill the cage to weaken...no sounds a bit dangerous that close to the case wall

Err... will a little heat on the alloy work in that area to make it easier?

Heat works when I replace wheel bearings Max, try a heat gun if you have one. When I replace wheel bearings I pour a kettle of boiling water around the bearing, they fall in when you put new ones in, you obviously cant do this with the motor in the frame, hence the heat gun.

Heat the case and use a drift pin from the top to tap it out. You will need to replace it, but it's a standard needle bearing size. The upper one is a bit trickier. Its also readily available. I used a very small cutter on my porting tool cut the race then pulled it out. I then cleaned up the case with a ream. Unless you feel really comfortable doing this and have the tools I suggest blocking things off then clean the bearings real well after vapor blasting. It's not the most critical bearing on the bike.
