Tomzilla, that's one of the nicest looking MC16s I've seen. Mine is blue and white also. I think I read somewhere that they didn't produce as many in those colours as the red and white. All the original plastics for mine are stored away safely for the future. Are you going to build something else? I always wanted to build something with the NS400r but couldn't bring myself to buy one and rip it to pieces.

Thanks Andy. As far as future builds, I'm currently going through my 94 RS250 and I'm working on a deal to get 2 RS125's that need restoration.
I'd really like to stuff an RZ350 engine in my FZR400, but that's on the back burner for now
I have another uk registered MC16 that is in pieces. I just keep it for spares really. I thought about using the RD/RZ 350 motor in the MC16 frame. Would be different to the usual Yammagamma stuff.

Martin77 built an "NSR-D" MC21 with a 350 YPVS motor.
There are a few more threads too, if you do a search for NSR-D. Unfortunately, many of his photos were on Photobucket, and are no longer available. _________________ Andy.

Andylad wrote:Jasper, nice work. I recognise the Swingarm. I seam to remember the spindle diameter is quite small on that bike. I opened the slots out to take a 20mm spindle from a CBR600F. I modified the the caliper brackets and used a Nissin caliper from the CBR900 Fireblade. Bet it stops well with those radial brakes? I kept the stock MC16 front wheel and machined some adaptors to fit 310mm discs with Brembo 4 pots.
Thanks for your positive reaction, the radial brakes are perfect, may be a little to,but it looks great😎. I did the same openen the slots for the
CBR axle,i used a mito 125 rear brake caliper and i modified the bracket,to place it on the 6 o’clock position for the race looks.
Succes with your mc16 hybride 👍👊
My front end is made up of GSXR750 yokes with modified MC16 stem. ZXR400 forks, MC16 front wheel with modified ZXR spindle and spacers machined. CBR600rr discs with adaptors machined and Ducati 4 pot Brembo calipers. It's safe to say it stops!!
