Frame Sliders

Sat Mar 25, 2006 10:56 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hey guys,

Been reading for a while but this is the first post. I just got all new Tyga bodywork for my MC21 and it looks hot! But I don't want it all to get damaged if I come off, mainly because I can't afford to replace it.

I have seen frame sliders, swing arm sliders and bar end sliders available. These seem like a great idea but I haven't seen anything relating to the NSR or any NSRs with them fitted. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to get, what fits and where/how to mount them?

Any info would be great.

Cheers,

Josh

Sorry for digging up an old post...but I had the same question...are there frame sliders on the market for the NSR250's?

Is there a suitable mounting point on the frame that you could bolt a set too?

Nobody has a set designed specifically for the NSR But If they did they would look like ducati or rc51 sliders. They have a rod that goes through the motor mounts and the puck bolt to there. Prolly the only way to make them strrong enough, but honestly the NSR motor mounts are pretty puny so any good hit with frame sliders attached would surely bend the frame. Soooooo, I wouldn't do it. I'd rather have rashed bodywork that bent frame. I do love my TYGA faring though. Razz
