hi guys.
I too have a bartery issue on my mc28.
I bought one few weeks ago as my other one although having been kept on an Oxford 900 optimate and showed 12 volts it made my PGM 4 stutter and not allow the ignition to stabilise to allow the bike to start.
linking up to my zxr battery with jump leads and bingo PGM 4 came up with the magic p-030 and it started.

However with this newith battery only 4 weeks old and charged as per the instructions the voltage dropped below 12 volts and the PGM while looked ok kept turnING of and on. kicking the bike nothing. trying to jump it. Nothing. but hooking up to a charged battery it stated eventually.
left the bike on optimate overnight thinking that'd be fine
but damp thing still wouldn't start this morning. had to link up to zxr again and perseverance kicking finally got it going.
anyone else with an mc28 had this problem. I'm assuming the ignition is more fussy than the 21 with a normal key rather than digital ignition?
I'm gonna ask for a replacement battery and buy some new plugs. but when we checked plugs they burnt lovely colour. and after it started today ithe started every time. buy when left for hours then becomes fussy.
just curious to know if anyone else be it mc28 or 21 owners with same annoyance.? as prior to this it started so easily
