Well that's a bit cheeky of them.

If I understand this correctly if I throw this box away do the 4 connectors it joins up simply reconnect to each other ?

If I did the above then do the wire splice, then I will be no worse or better off, I just don't have an an extra mystical box inline with the rest of the harness.
