The oil pump is connected to the throttle via cables, right? If you are running the bike on idle without adjusting the oil pump shaft to pump more oil it will take some time. I allways turn the shaft connnected to the throttle for maximum oil output. Then you can see how the pump pumps small amounts of oil through the hoses in intervalls when idling.
