Oil pump bleeding

watfordhorn » Wed Feb 15, 2012 10:51 pm

Having connected an oil pump back to one of my mc28's I am having trouble getting it to work. The bike has been run by the previous owner for some time with the pump in place but blocked off and running pre-mix.

I was hoping to put some oil bottles, pipes etc back on, bleed the pump and get it running back with the pump. Problem is I have bleed it all, I get a good flow out of the bleed bolt but when the bike is running I still get nothing pumping out. Could it of burnt the pump out running dry? Is there something I am missing?

Anyone got a spare they can sell me or lend me that I can try? I have several spare pumps but they are all off older models and don't have the extra feed for the crank bearing?

Thanks for your help

Leigh
