All the HRC harness is is a stock one with all the road wiring (lights, horn, indicators etc.) stripped out, two grey (Honda Civic style) plugs, and one PGM-III plug at the ass-end. (The stock harness has 2x PGM-III plugs of course.)

Apart from being stripped of the road-going wiring, there is nothing special (i.e., no different connections) between the two harnesses.

The reg/reg normally bolts to the NSR subframe, and often comes with a used stock harness. You can get pattern ones from Electrex or various other suppliers for about £40~60. I seem to recall off-hand that a VFR400R (NC30) has the same fitting too, and it a little "beefier", but someone else will need to confirm my sometimes cloudy memory!

Huge thanks!

Not sure if I got this part completely straight, sorry if I haven't, English isn't my main language.
The HRC delimiter is only a box that tricks the PGM-III to believe that the gearbox is in third gear and therefore not advance the timing in 4,5 and 6th gear, right? So that's not something that I MUST have just to start the engine, correct?

And what your'e saying is that the HRC harness only plugs in to one of the connections on the PGM-III box, but to be able to splice the harness if I wan't to remove this restriction without getting the HRC delimiter, I would need another PGM-III plug to use for my splice? And that would make the install tacky...

thanks again! Wink

And another quick question, the sales ad for the HRC harness that I've found says that the "power up box" isn't included. What is the power up box? Question

Best regards,
Jonatan
