MC21 engine/electronic questions

Mayer » Thu Feb 02, 2012 4:01 pm

Hi everyone!
I'm new to this forum but have been reading a bit the last couple of days to gather some info on the NSR 250. Now it's time for my first questions Wink

I bought a MC21 engine yesterday that I'm planning on putting in my superkart. It's mostly going to be used as a toy but hopefully I can get access to a track to do some training and let it stretch it's legs.

The engine was complete except for exhaust, airbox and wire harness. So now I'm gonna try to get this thing mounted and most importantly, started Smile

To begin with, I would love if someone could verify what the different cables/contacts on the engine is. Just so I don't do anything really stupid.

Two connections that I don't know much about, I'm guessing one is for the ignition to the engine and one is the pulse generator?

PGM III:

I anyone could confirm that all the stuff is what I think it is, that would be great.

So the way I see it and hope, all contacts/sensors are there and what I need is the harness to connect everything to the PGM, is that correct?

I have found a HRC-harness that I can buy but I haven't really understood if that's all I would need? Does the HRC-harness replace the stock harness or would I still need parts of the stock one?

This is the kart I'm using it in:

Many thanks in advance!
