You can't beat doing the job yourself Dexter! All it takes is a litttle confidence.

I have been e-mailed by several people who have never turned a spanner on an NSR before and all have successfully performed their own rebuilds by following our guide in the Workshop.

As I already said, cleanliness is the key. Make sure you have EVERYTHING ready before you disassemble the motor - don't start the reassembly then remember you need a pair of base gaskets or something stupid! Study the parts diagrams and even ask on here, people are more than willing to help.

Remember, if you take it to a shop, the likelyhood is they will never have worked on an NSR either! Are we just talking a top-end rebuild here?
