I think your right, the code that matches the card is stuck to the plastic cover, so it would almost imply that they are matched.

I still have the pcb with the reader in one piece so I guess I could maybe cut the pcd reader off a broken pgm and attach it to a good one, without the plastic cover I have nothing to mount the clocks.

So even a pgm thats fried and has no card could be of use.
