Don't quote me on it, but I think Jeff from Rockoil said that their Castor Kart castor/synthetic blend can be injected. It's expensive though, and irrelevant as it's not available in Thailand! Smile

Castor based oils were still recommended 20~25 years ago for its effectiveness at high RPM, and because as RichG says, fully synthetics were still in their (relative) infancy.

There's nothing wrong with fully synthetics these days, but you can't beat the smell of a little castor and AVGAS in your fuel mix! Smile

Apparently several years ago Castrol used to sell a small sachet of fuel additive in Thailand to make it smell like you were using A747. Never seen it myself though.
