BR9ECM stands for:
    B - 14mm thread
    R - resistor type
    9 - heat range
    E - 19mm (thread) reach
    CM - COMPACT TYPE, LOW ANGLE ground electrode - and there's your clue...

    S - standard 2.5mm centre electrode


For the sake of a $30 set of plugs, I personally wouldn't risk my $1000 top-end by fitting something Honda hasn't recommended! That's a real false economy!!

If you really want to use cheap plugs, the first thing you should do however is measure the "sticky-down" bit to make sure it's not going to either touch the piston or be too close to the piston. Either situation is just as bad as the other.
