Trust me Jon, you are never going to get the bargain you are looking for!

You are SO much better off buying a bike already in the UK and registered. By the time you've found a bike, paid £500 to import it, paid the VAT and/or import duty, registered, MOT'd, and taxed it, you will be looking at £1000-1200 on top of the purchase price for a bike you have bought unseen!

Heed these words... many (and there are some who are members here) have been bitten by bikes "specially" imported. Check out these links for a start:

You'll get an MC21SE for around £1750 if look about a bit and are patient, but a '28SSP is always going to be upwards of £2500 - and that's for a well used one!
