Bear in mind, I think those are "ideal world" prices. I've seen tatty MC21's sell for £700, and I bought an extremely tidy MC18 R5K rolling chassis a couple years ago for £41! I know where there's a nice MC16 sat too, that sold for £300!

Your comparison with local prices is irrelevant. I wouldn't pay USA money for an NSR... unless of course I was in the USA! If you want a nice bike here you pay the going UK£ rate, not Australian prices!
