I always started my MC28 on a dead battery? Would take a little push (okay, a little bit more then a little push), but it would start.

of course it didn't have any street parts on it, the wiring loom was HRC as was the cards.

Didn't like to start, but it did, that and I was being cheap and didn't feel like getting a new battery
