Well, it's been a year, and kind of a stop-start exercise, but it's all back together, and about to be registered.
I changed my mind along the way with what I set out to acheive, and ended up with a stock 1990 R7L model (my favourite colours after the black/red/silver '92 SE). Considering it was a corroded old basket case with crappy non standard painted MC28 panels, I'm pretty happy with the result. There's actually not much of the original bike left to tell the truth.
It's got a few HRC bits in it, a few more to go on shortly, and I'm undecided which way to go with the pipes. I have some old SE forks that I'll use to rebuild the R ones on this bike at the moment.
Time to get out and ride while the weather is still good.
Now for the next project........
