It does sound like the gearbox breather. Quite large bore and black? All sort of tube like?

Gonna have to remove the tank, airbox, carbs, boost bottles and several knuckles. Then it'll fit on the vacant opening there!

Unless you can get your wee fingers in and feel under the gubbins.
