Make sure all the "holes" are plugged (i.e. exhaust ports, coolant passageways, inside engine mounts etc.) and absolutely NO gasket faces are visible. If you can, use an old flywheel cover or something to protect that side of the casing, and heavy duty "Duck Tape" (duct tape) on areas you wish to avoid.

Be extremely careful to still avoid the masked areas as the blasting will remove the tape very quickly!

Use the finest grit possible (you'd actually be better of with a small bead blaster than a sand blaster), and use a low power setting.

CLEAN EVERYTHING THOUROUGHLY AFTER!!! Then clean it again!!!Very Happy
