I originaly had an open air box with ram air foam, nice sound but she had a slutter around 5-6k, after reading on the site yesterday I cut four 30 mm holes in the lid and put it back on and the improvement was imediate when i started her up crisper and better responce.
anyway took her for a spin last night and got caught in a shower I gave her a large handfull open road on a slight curve at about 60mph the power band kicked in and she spun the rear wheel up! fecking hell I had to put both legs out as stableizers my feet were sliding along on the greasy road! it was nearly a very ugly situation.
I went for a good hours ride this morning in the dry and its definately making decent power now with the air box lid back on.
Iv'e got some mc18 carbs to put on at a later date, should go really well then. Theres a few bits left to sort out like decals, mirrors and bar ends.and a couple of other things to tidy up,
But for now I want to try and get a few weeks of riding while the weathers still ok.
Theres no way i would have been able to do the bike without this site.
Cheers.
