US plugs for an MC28

sgthui » Tue Aug 18, 2009 10:39 pm

I posted in the classifieds but this will probably warrant some discussion so I brought it over here.
I'm looking to put some new plugs in my 96 MC28 which currently has B8EG's in it, they were in there when I bught it. I have no idea whether the B8EG is the correct plug or whether it may cross reference to the br9ecm since my local parts suppliers are clueless about the br9ecm. When I did some searching for the br9ecm I find that I'll pay about $10 each plus shipping. I bit steep compared to local prices for most other plugs I've needed to buy, including the racing plugs for our 2cycle karts.
I don't know the innards (it's a southern US word) of my bike as I've just been riding and enjoying the hell out of it this summer, and will tear into this winter. But it does have after market pipes and the airbox has been butchered. Don't know my jets or anything else inside. The plug color looks good though. Maybe a little rich but I can sure live with that.
So.... is there a US plug that replaces the br9ecm? If not, where are the US owners buying their plugs so as not to spend a bunch on them?

Thanks,
Dan
