Hi guys,
I recently purchased another MC21 for the stable. It was a somewhat ratty R model with some resparayed '28 bodywork. The plan is to ultimately make it look a bit like a '92 RS250, but plain white with minimal graphics. I will get it back to stock appearence first though, after a complete teardown, inspection and cleanup/refurbishment.
For bodywork, I am thinking of using a Silhouette tail unit with an '89 MC18 mkII top cowl and fairings. There seems to be a lot of options on Yahoo for this.
Chassis mods will include a Penske shock; an NXA RS250 front end; and some RS wheels if I can find them.... I would like to see the body lightened up a bit though.
The motor isn't going to be wildly tuned for every last HP, just optimised. So far I have HRC reeds and spacers installed; an I-factory coil kit; Daytona filter (I will drill the airbox); a fresh top end; and center plug conversion. At the moment I will stick with standard chambers, but withsome nice free flowing M-Max carbon-kevlar mufflers.
Should be fun!
Scott
